So. Here's Babe, flaunting her promiscuity! She has two guys now. Wonder who'll be sittin' the eggs?

IT'S GONNA BE A NICE COZY WARM WINTER HERE IN MAINE
He's lovin' it, being retired, he can pick and choose the type of weather he wants when he's getting his winter wood.
Berry picking time now, too, so pics of the harvest will be forthcoming, though not where he's getting his berries, I'm taking advantage of being HOME ALONE! Wouldn't be able to get around anyway, it's up on the Power Lines. Just call him an old goat!
We've already scarfed down quarts of strawberries via the shortcake route. Oh yummmmmm.

This is one of the two trees growing up from that doubled base. Thirteen feet long that is!

om'gawd, om'gawd, om'gawd
I have slut birds! Tess moved out of the nest about five days ago, and today she was *consorting* with BabyBoy (hell, he was treading her!) A few days ago, I found Babe, gettin' it on with her son, BabyBoy, and she's added three eggs to the clutch that Alex has been sitting on all day every day for weeks now.
Sinbad is doing very well, keeping his four babies fed, and doesn't miss Tess a bit. I'm wondering where she plans to lay that egg.
My Man person is out getting wood, I should post a pic of what he's got already, that hasn't been put in the cellar. Ya, I'll do that. This is the first year he's been able to get his wood before fall, and he's lovin' it, can pick and choose whether or not he wants to handle that stuff depending on the temperature.
Shane has called and talked to his love, Ashley, and his Mom, a couple times. They actually don't know when they're leaving. Deep dark military secret. Next time Ash and Andrew come down, I'll get some pics to post.

Let me see, how long since I posted? ONE WEEK! That's how much these little buggars have grown. You'll have to excuse the old hand yellowed nails, that's why I always wear polish... usually... should anyway. Gakkkkkk
I should be seriously pulling them to start hand feeding, but just can't bring myself to interrupt the wonderful job their parents are doing for my own inexperienced fumbling.
HAPPY DAY TODAY, Half-Blood Prince is here, and I'm into chapter four. GeezyFace has gone upcountry to do some gold pros;ectin' with the club, and I have the Louden race on mute. Haha, bet you thought I'd be watching that! No Way, just thinking may catch a glimpse of someone I know.
On the fiber front, I've nearly finished spinning the Alpaca for a shawl I'm planning for moi. And looking at the beautiful skeins of superwash waiting for a wash before they get balled up and knit into warmies for the grands.
Have a great weekend, y'all.

Been absolutely bizzy. Went to Mom's for a "family gathering" to welcome Micah's new bride, Rebecca, she is lovely, a very sweet girl. Didn't get much chance to chat with them, there were too many people there. Thankfully, Sonia and her family, and Bil and Ray made it. We missed Vic and his beautiful family, but Wisconsin is quite a way to travel for an afternoon picnic.
Have four baby Tiels with Tess and Sinbad, Alex and Babe haven't hatched one of their six eggs yet. We'll see.
The Keets are (only three left) getting too too chewy and will soon get their wings clipped, that keeps them from reaching their favorite chew spots, which happen to be the wood molding, door frames, picture frames, curtain rod finials... they love to chew wood! Brats.
