I was checking out the Housekeeping pages for a loom, and apparently I was a first responder. I got a little used and carefully treasured BABY WOLF loom this past week. My friend, Marion, drove us all the way to Derry, New Hampshire, we picked it up, folded it and slid it into the back of her Honda CRV(?). That was a comfortable ride, didn't hurt my body at all. Of course, it took till today for me to recover from being just plain tired.
I love this loom! Piccys and stuff later.! Right now it's been enough just to go through my weaving books and learn, and dream and plot. Perhaps I'll put on a couple miles of black tencel for my first warp. I have so much loverly stuff spun up, that I should concentrate on using it, as I learn how to handle this baby.

HA! Bet you thought I din't do it! Well, they're done. Cam hat and mittens. The hat folds up, but unfolded there is a face opening, so P`````tht. Wish I could find this camo yarn in a regular weight, this is a chunky, and it should be warm forever.

EXCITEMENT
YEEEHAW! I haven't closed the deal yet, but, there is a BABY WOLF in my future. And I have been weaving dish towels on my Lily two harness. Yep, been doin' it. spoze I should do a piccy for proof of weaving, huh? Wait a minnit!.

There ya go. and STOP LOOKING AT THE CLUTTER! I have a dream that one day I will find someone who will come in and clean for me like Gail did. She was such a treasure. Of course it would be bestest, idealest if my back pain would just dissssappear, and I never needed help again. Ahhhh that would be heaven. Think of all the things I could do! Including walking off some of this weight! Owel. My spirits are high, no problems as long as I can use my hands for fibery creating and my eyes for reading. So, whachu think of my dish towels? White, with a line of purple and a line of pink. Learned something too. 'twould be better if the selvage (outside) was the color of the weft. Well, that's something! I can still learn!

The above is from home, the pic to the left is ... ahem the road that passes the cemetery where I will be interred someday.

Hmmmmm, was gonna post some pics of the beginning of fall color, but for some reason, which my COMPUTER GURU (hopefully) will cure, my photo program didn't want to accomodate me. So... There is barely a hint of color in the extremities of the trees, where our light frosts have occasioned fall changes. Usually by now color is at it's peak, so I would say we're about a week (?) behind schedule. I'll know better tomorrow. We're headed to Fryeburg Fair. The color should be just beginning to glow.
