WOW! Been so busy! Got my new HARRISVILLE 8 harness loom, and put it together. They estimated about ten hours. yarite. Took me the better part of six days, with lots of naps between sessions of decoding. But. I sure know how it goes together. yep. ido. And, now I have got my Lily Loom up on ebay, and my LeClerc 4 harness table loom to go up on ebay, and my BABY WOLF 4 harness to put up on ebay. Like, my living room is FULLALOOMS! Gotta make room for stash!.
Today, finished putting on a warp for acrylic baby blankies. Got lots of acrylic yarns that need to be something. So... Baby blankies for busy new moms to be able to toss in the laundry with no special care.
Wanna see? Here's what my loom looked like after I unpacked it... and that's just the wooden parts that had to be treated with nice preservating oils... YUK smells like Murphy's Oil Soap... neatsfoot oil? Smell dissapated quickly, and oil sank in quickly. I didn't take a pic of all the hardware!
I bought a sectional beam so I can easily warp by myself. Love that sectional beaming, it's so easy! So, I have an extra beam, wonder if I can later add it as a second warp beam for more intricate weaving? Bet I can!
Anyway, that's it for now
