PEEVISH, that's me. Saw a sign today, meant to convey regards for soldiers who died... all I could see was the grammatical error... "for those that" JHC... I so often see that same slipshod grammatical error! Others as glaring, and guess where it's perpetuated ad infinitum... news shows! For chrissake! No one corrects the errors, no one even notices! As the media gets younger, the prose gets lousier! No child left behind! Shit... those children are now teachers, media mavens, slaughtering proper english... and NO ONE CARES. When they started shoving kids through to diplomas, didn't anyone think to put more effort into (here's a unique thought) actually teaching. Hell no! It would be more effort than it's worth to figure out what it would take to make the lessons work! Well, as long as teachers are paid paupers wages, we'll get poor education. The few dedicated teachers, who can overlook the working conditions and the living conditions dictated by our penury disreguard for their expertise, those few, just cannot carry the ball alone.

WELLLLLLLL! Finally got something on the loom. My eight harness harrisssssville. Dam I love that loom. Haven't done anything fancy with it yet, but yano, that will come in time. Anyway, I had planned a 36" X 4yd fabric out of Lion Brand Homespun, in the colorway... COUNTRY, a deep green with hints of blue. Got it all warped up and... LOST the rest of the yarn. No weft left! What a disapp. Went looking for to buy more of that colorway. It's DISCONTINUED! Did find some on ebay, but the sukah was asking nearly seven bucks a skein and nearly two bucks for shipping for each additional skein, and it wooda cost fifty buks! SO. A little creative remodeling, and I now have a smaller warp, threaded through the harnesses, and will be sleying the 6 dent reed tomorry. Will take a piccy then too.

ANNNNNNNnnnnnnnnnnd. I have five pounds of superwash yarn on the way, that will make loverly baby blankies, annnnnnnnnd... I have ordered some yummy superwash to spin. LOTSA FIBERY STUFF going on here.

Got rid of a TROJAN that apparently came in on a forwarded email, so now my email program will not allow any more of them through. Better safe than sorry.

Been so busy! Here's the latest on my sweet birds. Uncle G, still lives here with me. Tess and Sinbad have gone to live with a man on the coast who will love them. Little yellow head has gone to a bird lady. It was Teridactyl who went to be a companion to an older bird, owned by a very nice lady in Auburn. Babe and Alex, and Olive and Pete have gone to live with the bird lady in Dixfield, who will let them make new babies, which she will hand raise so they'll be sweet pets, which is what people who buy birds are looking for.

Wanna know what I'm doing? Gonna tell you anyway. I'm trying to take back the house! Cleaning out storage spaces, I have two huge stretch bags upstairs in my bedroom, right now. One for TOSS, and one for FREE STORE. There! How's that! And I'll bet I can fill them! Oh boy!

Micah and REbecca are expecting a baby in October! And Nancy will be up here for the month of July, so there'll be another fambly feast at Mom's.
